The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2021 exam date notification is expected soon as the National Testing Agency, the conducting body can announce exam dates at any time. While the exam dates for the JEE Main have been announced, there is no official update on NEET 2021 exam date.

NEET 2021 Exam Dates

The National Testing Agency has not made any announcement yet, regarding NEET 2021 Exam dates. However, as per the NEET 2021 exam date latest news, a meeting was held between the Ministry of Education, Health Ministry and National Testing Agency to discuss the NEET 2021 examination. As per the requests from the students, Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank has asked the Health Ministry to consider conducting NEET 2021 online and more than once this year. The decision, however, has not been taken.

Health Ministry officials have taken the proposal into consideration but the actual decision on the mode of the examination rests with National Medical Commission (NMC), reported Hindustan Times.

It is to be noted that NTA only conducts NEET exam, whereas, the decision on the mode of the examination, pattern, syllabus, etc. falls under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, through an independent body -- NMC. After NMC approves the syllabus, NTA takes over as the conducting body

As per the media reports, the major reason for the delay in the NEET 2021 Exam date announcement is primarily due to the lack of consensus between the various bodies regarding the same.
